My Journey

When I say that my life experiences have afforded me a "wide lens", it points to how grateful I am for the many opportunities I have had to know amazing people from all around the world. I studied Catholic Theology and Pastoral Education as well as English Literature. I taught English at a college in South Korea, and I was also a leadership and cultural awareness trainer in the Philippines during that time. I moved on to become a yoga and meditation teacher in Thailand, Mexico and the US, and I have been studying the wisdom of Yoga with a Sanskrit teacher for the past 9 years. I currently belong to the local chapter of the Threshold Singers as well as enjoying Kirtan and playing the harmonium. My interest in hospice and palliative care developed in 2016 after a personal experience with illness. I currently offer end-of-life doula services, enjoy the many facets of working at a hospice as a Spiritual Care Practitioner, and am completing my qualifying hours as a Canadian Certified Counsellor.
